Location: Mississauga - RAP Centre
Wages: $20.00/hour for 40 hours/week
9:00am-5:30pm
This is a bargaining unit position.

Scope
The housekeeper effectively and thoroughly maintains the standards of cleanliness of all areas of the transitional housing facility. Ensures all rooms are cleaned for new arrivals and existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Dust furniture
- Vacuum carpeting and upholstered furniture
- Make beds and change sheets
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Clean and disinfect showers, sinks, toilets, and bathroom fixtures
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Respond to guests’ requests, such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, cots, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure housekeeping departmental standards are followed
- Report necessary maintenance items
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of housekeeping or similar experience
- Experience working in hospitality (hotel) a strong asset
- Fluency in English is required
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, customer service, written, and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Preference will be given to those who speak additional languages
- Ability to work flexible schedule as needed
Other requirements
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check (completed when offer is made)
